Robot Tree Head

This is a work in progress piece. It originally started as a personal project last year when I began working for Avalanche (Disney Interactive Studios) as an intern, but it turned into an opportunity to teach myself the Unreal Developer Kit (UDK) somewhere along the way. Everything in this scene is created by me. It was originally inspired by the steam punk robot sculptures of Mike Rivamonte (http://www.mrivamonte.com/).

Highlights:

-I created everything in this environment, including all geometry, textures, FX, skydome, and materials.
-The engine I am using is the Unreal Developer Kit.
-The original concept art and design was created by me, although I got a lot of useful feedback during weekly critiques at Avalanche.
-I used a great new tool that I came across called “An Ivy Generator” to help create the creeping ivy, and will be adding more soon. (http://graphics.uni-konstanz.de/~luft/ivy_generator/)
